I am thankful that my son latched right away and hasn’t had any issues. He lost a lot of weight in the hospital due to my milk not coming in right away. I never gave up though. We had to play a lot of catch up to get his weight up. I did not feel bad about and still do not feel bad about using formula to help supplement or using it as a meal replacement when we are out and about or when i’m just to tired and need dad to step in. I took advantage of the lactation nurses in hospital and from a company when I got home to make sure I was doing it correctly.

We have to remember that in the end fed is best. Whether it is with breast, formula, or both, the baby being fed is what is most important. If you are all about breastfeeding and you are having trouble there is help for moms. Take advantage of the resources around you. If you don’t want to breastfeed or are not able too, that’s ok. There is so much pressure that is put on new moms. I see a ton of mom shaming about it and it makes me sad. Do what is best for your child and yourself. You will still be the perfect mommy.

New mom here! Just learning how to be the best mom I can be. Between working full time, keeping my other business alive (I am a candle maker), and now blogging, I am learning how to juggle it all. Thank goodness for my husband who works from home and is a great support system. I hope you enjoy this site :)
